General questions about portable power station.

How long can a portable power station, power your devices/appliances?

Take the wattage capacity of your portable power station minus 15% transition loss and divide that by the operating wattage of your device(s).
For example, if the capacity of your power station is 500Wh, then minus 15% = 425Wh / your say 100W device, then that device can be powered for 4.25 hours (425 / 100).

Another example.
You want to power three devices of say 20W each, making it a total of 60W. Then the power station can power your three devices for 7 hours (425Wh / 60W = 7).

You might want to learn more about the capacity of a portable power station, here.

What solar panel do you need to charge your portable power station?

It depends on what charge time you think is convenient for you.
A larger solar panel fully charges your power station faster.

For example, a 200W solar panel will charge your 500Wh portable power station in about 3 hours. (500 / (200 minus 10%= 180) = 2.77 or about 3 hours)
For a 100W solar panel, the charge time is about 6 hours. (500 / (100 minus 10%= 90) = 5.55 or about 6 hours)

Do I need a charge controller?

No, you don't need a charge controller to power your portable power station through solar energy.

What AC devices/appliances can be powered by a portable power station?

Check the wattage capacity of the AC output port. Devices can be powered up to that capacity.

Can i use a mobile power station to jump start my car or to trickle charge my car battery?

No, you can not use a mobile power station as jump start or for trickle charging a vehicle battery.

Power station with sodium-ion battery.
A sodium-ion battery is quite similar to a lithium-ion, where sodium-ions (Na+) take over the function of the lithium-ions. The advantage is that there's less lithium material needed in a sodium-ion battery. Read more about it on Wikipedia.

Will the new sodium-ion power stations work with the existing Bluetti portable power stations?
- No, because the new sodium-ion battery stations have a different pack voltage and battery chemistry.

These new battery power stations from BLUETTI will be demonstrated January 5th at CES 2022, Las Vegas.
