According to DeWALT company, their Power Detect™ tool technology maximizes the performance of the small angle grinder when used with high-capacity XR batteries compared to 5.0Ah batteries or less.
What is DeWALT Power Detect?
'Power Detect' is a technology that can detect/identify the battery, which enables the tool to adjust the power output, resulting in an increase of the runtime.
When you use the 20V MAX 8Ah battery, this DCG415W1 small angle grinder will output up to 40% more power compared to its predecessor the DCG413 small angle grinder with a DCB205 battery (5.0 Ah).
