Info on the New DeWALT Power Detect Circular Saw

DeWALT Power Detect Circular Saw

Equipment manufacturer DeWALT launched the new DeWALT DCS574W1 20V MAX XR 7-1/4" brushless circular saw with Power Detect™ tool technology kit.
( 20V MAX means maximum initial battery voltage is 20 - measured without a workload. The actual/nominal voltage is 18 )

According to DeWALT company, their Power Detect™ tool technology maximizes the performance of the circular saw when used with high-capacity XR batteries compared to 5.0Ah batteries or less.

What is DeWALT Power Detect?
'Power Detect' is a technology that can detect/identify the battery, which enables the tool to adjust the power output, resulting in an increase of the runtime.

When you use the 20V MAX 8Ah battery, this DCS574W1 circular saw will output up to 54% more power compared to its predecessor the DCS570 circular saw with a DCB205 battery (5.0 Ah).

Other features are:
- Cordless
- Maximum depth of cut: 2-9/16" at 90°   |   2" at 45°
- Bevel capacity: 0-57°
- Integrated LED light for more visibility and accuracy
- Blade stopping after the trigger is released
- Integrated rafter hook for easy storage
- Over 1300 UWO (= Unit Watts Out, a calculation of speed and torque)
- No-load speed: 5500 rpm

Blade diameter: 7-1/4 inches
Tool weight: 7.9 lbs

Warranty: 3-years limited warranty, 1-year free service, 90-day money-back guarantee.
