Here's information about mobile photo bill payment with your phone or tablet. No need to enter data manually anymore. Take a picture of a bill, schedule and authorize. That's all you do.
The methode is also called Picture Pay.
Recently, new developments in mobile payment methodes resulted in a patent on making mobile payments through image capture and remittance processing.
The patent is issued to image technology company Mitek Systems.
With their mobile payment methode, called 'Mobile Photo Bill Pay™' you can pay a bill by taking a picture of it with your tablet or smartphone.
Then the software takes care of entering - populating - the fields with the required data.
You only have to schedule the payment.
So, with this easy way of paying via your mobile device, there's no need to manually enter data, nor using a computer or checkbook to make the payment.
How it works:
The 'Mobile Photo Bill Pay' software connects to mobile banking applications and online bill payment systems.
It acts as mobile user interface which enables the capture of key data fields on a paper bill by snapping a photo of the bill.
Data extracted from image includes; payee name, address, account number and amount due.
The data and the image are sent to bill payment provider.
'Mobile Photo Bill Pay™' is a new development based on Mitek's Mobile Deposit® methode, already used by many customers of several banks in the U.S..
We learn from Mitek's press release that their new mobile payment solution has been adopted by bank such as U.S. Bank and First Financial Bank of Abilene, TX.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
