Well actually Boost Mobile, a division of Nextel Communications, kicked off with an announcement of the expected i860 in a limited edition.
It will be a "Woody" retro-surf design wireless phone exclusively available from Boost Mobile and available in december 2004. The phone will also feature a Boost Mobile's first self-designed wireless game and will be pre-loaded on their i860.

This is what Boost Mobile says about this new phone:
"1950s surf-inspired style meets new millennium technology. Introducing retro design to the U.S. wireless phone market, Boost Mobile is unveiling the limited edition Boost-branded "Woody" phone. Reminiscent of mid-century surf culture, the "Woody" combines nostalgic wood-grain design details and the vintage yellow and brown color scheme from the 2004 Boost Mobile Pro of Surf with the latest mobile phone technology, including nationwide Boost(SM) Walkie-Talkie service, high resolution internal and external color display, and picture caller ID. The handset also enables users to customize the phone with beach-themed display wallpapers, ringtones and games from Boost LIVE - a one stop shop for mobile downloads. Available exclusively from Boost Mobile, the "Woody" phone will be a limited edition specialty phone. As a special product from Boost Mobile, only a limited number of "Woody" phones will be manufactured and distributed exclusively through youth fashion retailers and BoostMobile.com. "
