iPhone clear contacts

iPhone 4S
If you updated your iPhone with iOS 5 or have an iPhone 4S, it may happen that you can't edit your Contacts or Calender options or missing contacts iPhone. This already occurs to many people.

Here's what you can do, in order to add, delete or edit iPhone contacts:
Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Account > iCloud (or another account you use). Then turn on: 'Contacts and Calendars' .
This should do it. When it is working you can turn Contacts and Calendars off again.

More options.
In case that doesn't work for you, then you could try the option to switch off or delete iCloud if you don't use it.
Other options might be to delete your Contacts app, connect your iPhone to your computer and sync again, or restore your phone through iTunes.
It is recommended to turn your phone off after resynchronization and switch it on again after a while, say 20 seconds.

More email accounts.
If you have several email accounts, and not being able to edit iPhone contacts, the cause of this might well be one of the email accounts. You can check that by going to each account and turn 'Contacts' off. Switch them on again if you can edit your 'Contacts'.
